batman begins

dear diary,

today i watched batman begins, it was the highlight of my day. this movie was really good. i thought christian bale did a great job and it is hands down my favourite superhero movie of all time. i recommend this film to anybody who likes good movies.

my playstation 2 actually worked today on the first try, as you know its been on the fritz lately. i played burnout 3 but couldn't beat that damn grand prix game. its sooo damn hard!

tonight my brother stayed home and david came over. we made chocolate chip cookies and watched a scary movie, it was called saw. i thought it was pretty good, david was laughing throughout, and my brother thought it was scary. my mom hated it.

tomorrow i have to work so i'll probably sleep all day. they still havn't hired anyone new for the overnight so i'll probably work alone again. i'll bring a couple of movies and my psp i got for my birthday last week so i'll be ok.

tuesday i have to go to the dentist to have a tooth pulled, i'm not looking foward to it but if it'll stop hurting i guess i have to. i should have taken better care of my teeth, although my parents didn't really push us while we were growing up, but its my own fault and i can't blame anyone.

anyway i'm gonna go watch jay, letterman, conan and jimmy and probably inked and then hit the hay.

talk to you soon.

Bill's explanation.

Bill: “As you know, I'm quite keen of comic books, especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating. Take my favorite superhero; Superman, not a great comic book, not particularly well-drawn, but the mythology; the mythology is not only great, it's unique. Now, the staple of the superhero mythology is; there is the superhero and there is the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spiderman is actually Peter Parker; when that character wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spiderman and it is in that characteristic, Superman stands alone. Superman didn't become Superman, Superman was born Superman. When superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent, his outfit with the big red “S”. That's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears; the glasses, the business suit, that's the costume; that’s the costume that Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us, and what are the characteristics of Clark Kent; he’s weak, he’s unsure of himself, he’s a coward. Clark Kent is Superman’s critique on the whole human race, sorta like Beatrix Kiddo and Mrs. Tommy Plympton.”
